Every month, the MMORPG counterpart to the single-player Elder Scrolls series puts out a showcase in which they display all the new items available to purchase for real-world money. As this month is a bit spookier than other months, the Elder Scrolls Online is keeping with the theme and will be releasing plenty of items in the spirit of the in-game Witches Festival.
The first items you can see above are the collection of Shadowghost mounts. These models are familiar, but their patterning is obviously not as each creature is adorned in black and white – so spooky! According to the article posted on the official site, each mount has a matching pet which can be found in October’s Crown Crates if you feel like gambling. The horse will be available from October 5th-9th. The Wolf will be in-game on the 19th until the 23rd. The Senche, from the 26th-30th, and the Guar will be available on the 12th until the 16th.
Aside from the Shadowghost mounts, the Zombie horse will be reappearing in our games and in our nightmares as early as the 16th of October, and it will torment us until the 20th. This is probably the most gruesome of the items in the October Crown Store Showcase, but it certainly makes an impression.
Along with the mounts come four masks that are perfect for your Witches Festival needs – be that scaring a group of villagers or prancing about like a magical butterfly. You can find the Deep elf Executioners Hood and the Moonshadow Wings Mask (pictured on the left) in the Crown store from October 12th until the 1st of November. The Dibella’s Doll Mask Pack and the Demon Mask Pack (pictured on the right) will be available in-game from the 19th of this month until the first of November.
The Jhunal’s Owl Mask and the Rajhin’s Cat Mask (pictured above) will both be available in the Elder Scrolls Online Crown store on October 16th until the 20th of the same month if you feel like getting a bit wild with your Crown Store purchases. Masks and mounts aren’t the only items coming to the store this month, though!
This cute little furball is the Jackdaw Daedrat pet. He will be available from October 12th until the 1st of November and is sure to be the perfect addition to any creepy Witches Festival-themed look. From is skeleton-like tail to his beady blueish eyes, the Jackdaw Daedrat will be everyone’s go-to pet for the season!
But wait, there is plenty more! If masks just aren’t frightening enough for you or your character, why not change your appearance entirely with one of three polymorphs? The Werewolf Lord Polymorph, available from October 2nd-6th, will turn any character into a fearsome werewolf lord adorned in leather and wolf fur. The Pumpkin and Scarecrow Spectre, both available from October 23rd until November 7th, promises to give anyone a fright with their glowing eyes and creepy claw-like hands.
Is your need to be spooked not sated? Well, feast your eyes on the Exorcised Coven Cottage! Perched at the edges of Hag Fen in Glenumbra, this cozy cottage is totally not home to any sinister spirits or unwanted undead. The home, if you dare to purchase it, will be available in-game as of the 19th of October until the 1st of November.
In addition to all of these great items, the Elder Scrolls Online will also be releasing a crafting Motif, called Grim Harlequin, into the game on 9th and a Zombie personality on the 23rd.
