If you are yet to try The Elder Scrolls Online and own an Xbox One, take the opportunity to try it out for free this week. Starting on Wednesday, November 23rd at 5am GMT, Xbox Live Gold members will be able to play free of charge.
Head over the Xbox Store and find The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited if you’d like to give ESO a try. Make sure that you have plenty of hard drive space, as the full game takes up around 80GB. You’ll also be given 500 crowns to spend in the crown store once your account has been created. Throughout the free play period, there will be various discounts on Crown Packs, and the game itself will also be on sale during this time.
The Elder Scrolls Online is an MMORPG developed by Zenimax Online Studios. Releasing back in April 2014, it is the first open-ended multiplayer game in the Elder Scrolls franchise. In January 2015, the active subscription service was removed from the game, and is no longer needed to play the game. It was then renamed The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, releasing on consoles on June 9th 2015.
Similar to other games in the Elder Scrolls franchise, ESO takes place in the continent of Tamriel, which indirectly connects the other games with its storyline. Impressions amongst critics have vastly improved for the game since its re-branding to ESO: Tamriel Unlimited and its release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The Free Play Weekend on Xbox One starts tomorrow, and concludes on November 28th. Be sure to check out The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited whilst the offer lasts.
