Earlier today the PLEX system in EVE Online encountered issues. Furthermore, the development team reminds users that the Blood Raider Cerebral Accelerators will expire soon.
A space simulator MMO, EVE Online makes use of the PLEX system, a special in-game currency, to provide game time. Players can purchase PLEX directly from the game shop or from other players. The system has become so popular that is an example for other P2P (pay to play) online games, its most important aspect being the player-to-player transactions. Earlier today, November 29, many pilots reported that PLEX was not applying Omega Time to their account and in order to analyze and solve the problem, the system was temporarily taken offline. Now that the matter has been addressed, the PLEX system is back online and users who’ve encountered it need only wait 60 minutes to see the results of PLEX implementation.
Furthermore, players are reminded that Blood Raider Cerebral Accelerators and the advanced counterpart of such will expire on November 30 at 11:59 p.m. UTC, being unusable on December 1 at midnight. The boosters were given as a reward for the Crimson Harvest YC 118 earlier this year, where they could be extracted after defeating the Blood Raider menace. The boosters, once consumed, increase all of the character’s attributes by +10/+12 for a period of time. Its effect will still be applied as long as the item is consumed before midnight of December 1.
First released in 2003, EVE Online is one of the most popular online space simulators, featuring its own economy and a story shaped by the players. After catering to the P2P business model since its release, a free to play model was introduced with limited access and the option to purchase benefits. It is available for Windows PC and OS X on the official website and the Steam platform.
