EVE: Valkyrie has been known for giving out free updates that have major content within them. For their fourth free content update, titled Wormholes, they’ve unveiled what could be on of the biggest additions to the game, which will be leagues.
The team notes that The Valkyrie League is meant to ensure that the competitive side of the game doesn’t stop growing, and to that end, that players desire to improve their gameplay tactics and style never grows board. As such, the League will evaluate a players score based on a period of time, then give them a ranking on the leaderboards.
They do note that this is not a process they’re taking lightly, and are very eager to put this in the public testing phase so that they can fine tune all the calculations that are necessary to ensure an accurate and fair ranking. They also confirmed that leagues will take place over “seasons” and that all rankings will reset in between so that you’re not “locked” into one ranking and have to stay there, each season is a new clean slate. Oh, and there will be rewards for doing well in seasons.
There are going to be four leagues, Diamond, Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. With Diamond being the top echelon of EVE: Valkyrie players, with only 15 people being allowed to enter here. Whereas the Emerald league is where the majority of players will be located, and your goal is go from Emerald to Diamond.
As noted, the Eve: Valkyrie team are looking for the community to help out and ensure that these leagues are the best they can be, and they hop to count on your support. For a full breakdown of the leagues, and how you can help, just click here.
