Fans, they are honestly the crux of just about anything media related out there. Without fans, films would never make a buck or become legendary. TV shows wouldn’t make it past a few episodes, music albums wouldn’t go platinum. And of course, video games wouldn’t get sold in millions. But, what the true power of fans is, is the ability to take something they love, and turn it into something their own. Take for example Fallout: Alamo City, a fan-film that’s by Fallout fans, for Fallout fans.
Now, I know what you’re thinking, “how can they do this?” Well, making a fan-film isn’t illegal, as long as they follow certain guidelines and on the Indiegogo that’s trying to fund this fan film they make sure to mention that this is a non-profit production. Meaning, no one will make money from it, all raised money will go to the film and its production. To show you what you can expect, the team made a small teaser trailer for it.
The project is headed up by Andrew List, who has been in the business of helping make movies and TV shows for about 10 years. He’s worked with WWE, been a part of The Walking Dead, and much more. His hope and desire isn’t just to make Fallout: Alamo City something that all Fallout fans can enjoy and appreciate, but also, be something that inspires.
He would love for this film to inspire other fans to make their own productions and expand the universe of Fallout or another series even further.
As for what fans can expect, Fallout: Alamo City will take the legendary franchise to Texas, with classic creatures and figures along with new beings that’ll make the product stand out. The project will be on Indiegogo for 2 months, so if you want to see this come to life, go and pledge to it.
