New characters being added to an established roster is a sure fire way to drum up interest in a previously released game. We even sometimes see curveballs, such as the recent announcement of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming to Injustice 2. As far as Tekken 7 is concerned, they too will be once again indulging in a cross-franchise fighting coming into the fray, with Geese Howard stepping into the ring.
You may remember Geese Howard from the Fatal Fury franchise, and will now be coming to the latest entry in the legendary brawler franchise. The name Geese seems pretty strange, but that is probably a point for another time. Geese will be bringing his trademark red hakama training pants and white kimono to the stage to do battle in. So fans can expect to not only see a new playable character, but also a new original stage and costumes.
Geese Howard will be a part of Tekken 7’s DLC2, and will also be made available as part of the DLC1 new mode Ultimate Tekken Bowl. It is worth keeping in mind however, that he will not be added to the game’s story mode, so don’t be expecting a deep narrative experience compared to other characters on the roster.
Having said that, as we all know, all fights in Tekken 7 are personal, which certainly makes it one of the standout titles in the series so far. If you’re yet to pick up the title, then you can do so on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
