With this month’s Games With Gold promotion, we have seen four extremely exciting titles come to Xbox Live Gold subscribers, one of which being Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide. However, due to the massive influx of new players coming to the game, many players have been unable to connect to the servers.
When loading the game up on Xbox One, players have been greeted with an error message that they cannot connect to the servers. This is an understandable issue in all fairness, given that there will have been a massive wave of new players trying out Vermintide, especially with it being made available for free. One social media platform in particular that picked up on this issue was Reddit, where a lot of players claim that they have been affected by the situation following a patch that was rolled out yesterday.
Developers Fatshark are on the case, and have just sent out the following tweet:
Heroes! We’re aware of the current outage in the Vermintide servers. Bear with us whilst we look to resolve this.

This has been something that has come and gone since December 1st, when Vermintide was made free by the Xbox Games With Gold promotion for this month. It’s a bit of a sticky situation at the moment, but hopefully once everything has managed to balance out, it will bring an enthusiastic new audience to the Warhammer game.
If you do enjoy Vermintide when you get round to playing it, there is a sequel expected to release early next year too.
