The MMORPG Elder Scrolls Online already has a vast world for players to explore. Yet, the team at ZeniMax isn’t content to keep Tamriel contained. So fierce is that desire that they revealed that areas from The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind would be added to the game. Now we get to have a look at such areas.
As the development team notes, Vvardenfell is unlike anything in the world of Tamriel. It is filled with unique places and creatures that roam its diverse territories. For example, the Red Mountain’s lava flows, eruptions, and fallen ash has caused the landscape to become very desolate. And yet, the island expands as lava moves out. Out of the chaos plants and fungi (including large mushrooms) have adapted to the harsh environment.
Then there’s the Grazelands, which are vastly different from the Red Mountain surroundings. Plenty of creatures call this part of the island their home. Though considered to be “mild mannered”, they aren’t afraid to protect what is theirs. Adding to the wonder, there are tombs scattered across the lush grasslands, but there are things dwelling within the tombs, so you better be careful if you enter.
Add to all that the Bitter Coast, the Ashlands, and Balmora, and you have an island that is full of various ecosystems, all teeming with life. All this will be ready for players to explore when Morrowind launches on Elder Scrolls Online.
Elder Scrolls Online is an MMORPG based on The Elder Scrolls franchise, which the fifth entry, Skyrim, helped consolidate as one of the most popular and relevant RPG franchises of all time. Although the game had a rocky start with a dubious business model, its shift to buy-to-play proved fruitful and the title, developed by ZeniMax and published by Bethesda, has managed to remain one of the most relevant MMOs of its generation. It is available for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and XBox One. The expansion containing Morrowind is set to release on June 6.
