Fire Emblem Heroes is a title that honestly shouldn’t have worked as well as it did. It was Nintendo’s second full-on mobile game (Pokemon GO wasn’t made by them), but it followed the lukewarm response to Super Mario Run. What’s more, Fire Emblem had only recently been declared a “AAA Franchise” by Nintendo, so many were wondering if casual fans would approach the game. A year later, go or take, and the title has boomed in popularity, been very profitable for Nintendo and they’re showing their appreciation in spades.
For tonight, they had a special anniversary edition of Feh Channel, which is a special ‘show” that details what’s coming for the game. There were many big announcements, including some that are going to take place in just a few hours.
First off, to thank ALL of the gamers who helped make Fire Emblem Heroes possible, on February 2nd, there’s going to be a special login bonus of 50 Orbs (which are used to summon new heroes), the largest in-game giveaway ever.
As if that wasn’t enough, there are going to be special daily maps that’ll give you 50 orbs if you complete all of them. They’ll be doled out throughout February, so by the end, you’ll have gathered far more than 100 Orbs in the title.
Which is perfect, because two special Summoning Focuses are coming to the game. One will be a Legendary Hero event featuring Ike from Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn. Then, a Hero Fest event which will give four very popular Heroes a chance to make their way into your army with a much higher rate of summoning.
Still not enough? Well, Feh Channel also revealed a rotating gambit of special maps, a special new mode that’ll last for February, and a “Hero Rises” event, where fans can vote for the best hero in-game currently, and the top pick will be given to EVERYONE.
