Kickstarter is a great place for new projects to be born, which is why many video game developers go to it to help fund and create their projects. And now, a new tactics-based turn-based RPG is on the crowdfunding site hoping to be funded. This one uses Steampunk and RPG elements in interesting ways, and also has a very deep story to go along with it. It’s called Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark, and it’s seeking to raise $40,000 to complete the title.
According to the team at 6 Eyes Studio, Fell Seal is referred to as a spiritual successor to classic games like Final Fantasy Tactics, which should give you a good idea of what to expect.
However, what you might not expect is all that Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark has to offer. The finished game is going to have 20 classes for players to choose from, 200+ abilities to learn for their characters, 240+ gear pieces that they can get and equip, and finally, over 40 different places for the player to go to in the world.
One of the key aspects of the game is preparation. On a massive map you’ll prepare your next move, and by extension, make sure your team is ready for whatever you think may be coming your way. As for the battles themselves, the team are proud of how deep and flexible they are.
Each battle will be unique in its own way. There will be many possible objectives in these fights, so it won’t always be to route the enemy. What’s more, the levels are made so that strategy can be put into effect in numerous ways, from how you move units, to attacking, and defending. There’s a lot of possibilities.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg in regards to what the game offers. If you’re an RPG fan and you want to play an old-school style of it, then head to the Kickstarter and consider pledging.
