The critically acclaimed MMO Final Fantasy XIV is celebrating it’s fourth anniversary, following on from the release of the second expansion Stormblood.
To commemorate the occasion, on September 1-2, the developers will be hosting a special 14-hour livestream, which will include the latest installment of the ‘Letter from the Producer LIVE’ series, as well as talk sessions with the team, plus in-game challenges and other special guests.
A first look at Patch 4.1 content will be on show for players to check out, which will see Yasumi Matsuno joining producer and director Naoki Yoshida to talk about “Return to Ivalice,” a 24-player alliance raid which will be outlined in more detail.
Yoshida looked back on a number of memorable moments from the past year in a recent statement: “From Fan Festivals in Las Vegas, Tokyo, and Frankfurt, right through to the launch of Stormblood, we have been honored by the continued support of our players and are overjoyed to share this occasion with them. I wanted to thank our entire community, which has now reached 10 million Warriors of Light, for supporting us this far—here’s to even more exciting things to come!”
This past weekend saw the celebrations kick off with “The Rising” seasonal event, which offered a number of fun activities and rewards for players to get their hands on. Also, the Mega Mog Station Sale is set to run until September 26th with up to 30% discounts on a number of items in the store, so be sure to indulge whilst the sale lasts.
