Heavensward has come to an end in Final Fantasy XIV with the Scions facing the threat now spreading through Baelsar’s Wall and Alexander the Creator being one of the toughest enemies to deal with when his weekly restriction is not helping players. Now, as every other MMORPG, FFXIV keeps the lore going with the last part of The Far Edge of Fate, where new playable content is added together with enhancements, new items and as every other patch, bug fixes.
As with previous patches, you have to be currently subscribed to Final Fantasy XIV in order to update your client to the latest version. Once you have registered you can enjoy the full pleasures of the game together with everything that the new patch can bring. In it, there will be three new scenario quests with valuable rewards. The Garo gear items that were once a PvP reward can be now exchanged for MPG at the Gold Saucer.
Other features underwent several changes, especially Alexander the Creator. Alexander now has no weekly restrictions and players no longer need to go through the dungeon step by step, as they can go directly to any desired area of it. The PVP section got a few adjustments as White Mages’ Sacred Prism now has 30% damage reduction instead of 40%, and Mechanists’ Between the Eyes now does 2.5x more damage instead of 3x when the target it hits is bound, stunned or asleep.
Finally, some of the well-known issues and bugs have been fixed, such as the quest “Some Assembly Required” which had reward problems or the item “Zurvanite Shield,” which didn’t support any crests or enchantments.
