Final Fantasy XIV has had many great expansions, but sometimes it’s the smaller updates that truly help the game grow. Not the least of which is because it gives players new things to do sooner, and allows them to have some fun with classic elements. The next update for the popular MMORPG is called “The Legend Returns”, and it’s bringing some very interesting things to do. So, Square Enix posted on the games page and literally broke down everything about it. Here are the most important things about the patch:
First off, you can team up with other players to go and look for the legendary city of Ivalice. There’s also an ancient city known as Skalla that’s set to be explored as well. Looking for a place to relax? Well, there’s a new residential zone called Shirogane, why not take a stroll through there?
Oh, and remember Shinryu? Yeah, he wants a rematch, and he’ll get it if you let him. Be warned though, this won’t go the same way it did last time.
What else can you expect from Final Fantasy XIV Patch 4.1? Well, there are going to be loads of main quests for you to do. Only two were named on the site sadly, Arenvald’s Adventure and The Darkness Below. However, there are 9 more quests coming via the patch, so you’ll be busy if you stick to only this route. Oh, and if you reach Ivalice? There will be some quests for you to do there.
Traveling in the game can sometimes be a problem. So, Patch 4.1 is making it so you can fast travel between certain places by talking to certain people. The only catch is that certain quests have to be completed first.
That is literally the tip of the iceberg in terms of what you can do in the game. So don’t miss out on the fun when the update launches.
