Final Fantasy XV has been very popular since the moment it was announced. After the uneven Lightning series of XIII titles (XIV was the MMORPG A Realm Reborn), fans were hoping for a more fun and true Final Fantasy experience, and it delivered. It sold more than any other Final Fantasy game before it, earned rave reviews, and fans were eager to get more, which they did via DLC and an upcoming Multiplayer Expansion. But the game was only available for Xbox One and PS4. Then a PC version was revealed.
Yes, Final Fantasy XV is coming to PC early next year, but, that hasn’t stopped Microsoft from putting the game up on the Windows Store for pre-order purchase. What’s more, the store page for the game will reveal automatically if your PC device is able to handle the RPG. While this may sound odd at first, you must remember that the game is being optimized for the PC, so it could potentially look better than the console versions, which means you need a lot of power and processing ability to pull it off.
But if you’re able to, you’ll join a grand adventure spanning many chapters and exploring the lives of many memorable characters, not the least of which is main character Noctis. Along with his friends Regis, Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto, they’ll travel the land and try to stop a war, only to find much greater evil waiting for them.
Ironically, the game isn’t only expanding to PC, the game is also coming to phones via a Pocket Edition, which will take the full story of the game but put it with Chibi style art and a more simplified battle system. Finally, rumors persist of a version coming to the Nintendo Switch, but it’s unclear if that’ll actually happen.
