Online games are a lot of fun, but there’s a risk when it comes to playing them. Since internet games require an internet connection, there’s the risk that at any point that your internet could drop out, kicking you out of the game. Or, in the case of Heroes Of The Storm, it could be another player that slows you down.
Some players on Battle.net have noted that it takes quite a while to get into matches, which seems like something that shouldn’t happen at all. In the case of one player:
“Waited like 10 mins to find a quick match, then it took 4 mins to load. Not joking, it literally took 4 mins to load.”
The community was more than willing to help break down this problem. When it came to the 4-minute loading time, the Battle.net players noted that often, if one person in the party for the match has a slow computer, it really bogs things down. It can take a long time for the game to load, and then be able to play.
The other issue of the “10 mins to finds a quick match” is a little more complicated. As many players stated, there’s not just the hardware issue, but a player issue also. Sometimes, the Heroes of the Storm server will take the time to better match-up who gets into the game, therefore providing a better experience. Other times, it’s just about who’s around. After all, if there are no players to play, how can a match be played?
So, if you’re experiencing problems in Heroes of the Storm, there’s likely a very logical explanation to all of it. If anything, hit the Battle.net forums to see if anyone is having similar issues. You might find the solution to your problem by reading how someone else’s got solved.
