Fire Emblem Heroes, the next in Nintendo’s Mobile game lineup has officially released in the UK and other territories. It is available for both iOS and Android devices.
The game features a brand new story, and involves new characters to the Fire Emblem franchise at its base, but the twist here is that your Avatar character (aka the one you’ll technically play as in the game) has the ability to summon characters from Fire Emblem’s vast history to help them in battle.
Yes, every single game in the Fire Emblem franchise can, and most likely will, have representation in Fire Emblem Heroes, making this a truly unique game both in general, and in terms of Fire Emblem. If you need a further visual, check out the trailer for the game:
Now, for those who are wondering how a Fire Emblem game can work on a phone, the teams at Intelligent Systems (who made Fire Emblem), DeNA (who was acquired by Nintendo to help with mobile titles), and Nintendo (no explanation needed here right?) have crafted the game so that you can fight on 6×8 maps, which is the perfect size for a phone.
The true joy though in Fire Emblem Heroes will be crafting an army with your favorite Fire Emblem characters. Whether it’s one full of the Lords, Mages, Knights, Heroes, Villains, there’s a lot of choices in the game. Also, via special summon stones, you can get even more characters, or better versions of the characters you already have.
Fire Emblem Heroes has not released in the US at the time of writing this article, but we’ll update it when it has!
