The first seasonal event to take place in Destiny 2, entitled the Dawning, doesn’t seem to have gone down too well with fans. Despite the return of the Mayhem Crucible, there has been a lot of complaints that have surrounded the new gear in the loot boxes, and several other problems that run much deeper.
Many players of Destiny 2 are reporting that a consumable known as the Boon of the Dawning is allegedly supposed to guarantee a gift to be awarded to players at the end of a Strike or Crucible game. According to some players, the only drop has has been awarded following a Crucible match with the Boon being active was Crucible tokens that had been dropped by other players.
This discovery has led to an influx of players pointing out that they received nothing from their Dawning Boons. This situation wasn’t helped by a previous incident of two products sold by Xur, the Fated Engrams and Three of Coins, were supposed to help players on their way to completing their exotic collections, though these don’t seem to be working properly either.
In yet another bizarre twist, Dawning boxes are also to be mixed up with purchased boxes from Eververse and those that are awarded from playing the game. This will be noticeable when sorting copies of the same shader into different piles, with one being dismantled into a single legendary shard, whilst the other goes into seven Bright Dust. Pretty strange.
