For Honor, the latest franchise from Ubisoft, is heading to PC and consoles on February 14. The game seeks to blend legendary warrior classes from history in the forms of Knights, Vikings, and Samurai in brutal non-stop combat. Also, they’re hoping to build upon anticipation for the game by announcing a beta release date, and a special livestream.
So, if you’re wanting to test out For Honor before it releases, then this is for you. On February 9 until February 12, anyone on Xbox One, PS4, and PC can download the open beta for the title. There is a small catch, as you’ll have to “declare allegiance to a faction”, meaning you’ll only get to fight as one class throughout the beta, so choose wisely.
This particular beta will focus specifically on Elimination mode. In this best-of-five series, you’ll participate in 4v4 matches with no respawns. However, other modes like Dominion, Brawl, and Duel are available in the beta as well.
Still not enough? Well the War of the Factions mode is also within the beta. You can play this to lead your army into battle, and if you lead them to victory enough times, you can get special rewards that will be available to you when For Honor launches.
On February 7th, a special livestream will show off celebrities battling in Elimination Mode. These celebrities include: Lauren Cohan, Jason Momoa, Alfie Allen, and Demetrious Johnson. Again, this will air on February 7 at 2PM PST on the For Honor Twitch feed.
