No, you didn’t read that wrong, that seriously happened. Or, to be fair, it apparently happened. Let’s rewind the clock a little bit, shall we? So, there’s this Fortnite player who was having trouble in AP Chemistry apparently, and so, she made a deal with her teacher for the final exam that if she got 6.7 thousand RT’s on Twitter (featuring a pic of them agreeing to the deal, see below), the exam would be changed to be one about the game instead of AP Chemistry…and guess what…
…it worked. Even better though, it worked in less than a day. For as you’ll see in the tweet below, the student posted it in the morning on the 23rd, and we’re not even 36 hours away from when it was posted and it’s at 24 retweets, which is roughly close to 4x as many as she actually needed. If there’s a true lesson here, it’s don’t underestimate the power of the Internet.

Seriously though, how did this happen? How and why did this teacher agree to something like this? We’re not knocking either side, but something just feels off here. Is he simply the greatest teacher ever and wanted his student to pass the class? Is he a Fortnite player himself? Or maybe he didn’t think that it would reach 6.7k RT’s? It’s really hard to say, but hopefully, he’ll live up to his end of the bargain. Otherwise, those 24,000 people who retweeted will be all over him for breaking his word.
But this also raises the question of, “If the exam will be on Fortnite, what questions will be asked?” Obviously, the teacher would need to ask hard ones, but how hard could they truly be? These are the questions that will haunt us for many nights.
