Fortnite will be joining in the spooky festivities it seems, with the game set to host a Halloween event on PS4 and Xbox One, which will also be accompanied by a number of changes to the free Battle Royale game mode.
If a recent teaser on Twitter, which saw the official account for Fortnite tweet out “Something spooky is around the corner…” is to be believed, then we could be about to see the battle royale game embrace the Halloween spirit.

If you’ve been keeping up to date with all things Fornite, then you’ll have heard that this is coming with a number of tweaks and changes that are being brought in. These tweaks centre around alterations such as bringing in voice chat which will be built in, as well as adjustable scope sensitivity.
Also, according to a recent developer update, there are plans for the game to add plenty of new weapons, with Eric Williamson from Epic Games stating:
“We’re going to pick the ones that we feel fit for core gameplay and as we’re able to balance them into the mix, that’s when we’ll start introducing them.”
You have probably noticed the back and forth that has been going on between Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds as of late. Ever since Fortnite announced the battle royale mode, there has been somewhat of a competition going on between the two titles. Even with PUBG’s immense success so far, Fortnite has managed to garner some impressive stats of their own. On the first day of the new mode, over one million players flocked to the game, which increased to seven million around a week later.
