The Nintendo Switch is off to a great start despite some small issues. Since its release on March 3rd, the system has been sold out just about everywhere it goes. Nintendo is working to increase production, which just proves how well it selling. Additionally, its titles are big hits as well, with Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and even ARMS doing very well, and Splatoon 2 is just days away from release. And that’s not even counting the games we know are coming out later this year.
With Fire Emblem Warriors, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Super Mario Odyssey, and more highlighting what the Switch has, fans are incredibly excited for what’s coming. But the question also remains about games and franchises we don’t know are coming to the Nintendo Switch. On Reddit, user HydroCritical asked about what games fans are wishing comes to the Switch, for example:
“I’m still begging for a third modern gen Donkey Kong Country game, even if Retro might have other plans in mind. I’m also hoping for a new F-Zero game.”
Neither of those franchises are out of the realm of possibility, especially Donkey Kong, as that has been on both Wii and Wii U systems via Retro. But what other games do fans want to see?
Well, some people stuck to the first party franchises like Paper Mario (one that was like the original two games), Luigi’s Mansion, Animal Crossing, and Super Smash Bros. Others however went third party with suggestions of From Software (who was revealed to be making something for the Nintendo Switch), Final Fantasy Tactics 3, Kingdom Hearts 3 and Overwatch.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The success of the Nintendo Switch could honestly bring a whole plethora of games to the system. It just depends on who is willing to go to Nintendo to ask about bringing the games over, or Nintendo saying “yes” to certain franchises being reborn.
