GameTales have announced that they have signed a global publishing contract with Sony Interactive Entertainment, in order to develop products for the PlayStation 4.
Established back in 2013, GameTales are responsible for a variety of games across the mobile industry, including Monster Adventure, Sisso Fang, Warigari Series, Heroes League and most famoulsy being the development team behind the Keroro series. In early 2016, they had brought their own mobile RPG Heroes League to the table, which was developed by a team of just seven people, and managed to place 10th in Google Play charts, without any real form of marketing. The company are now striving to move forward, including further development from a merger with Z Slugger developers Rolling People Ltd.
The agreement GameTales has in place with SIE will see them develop and release games for the PS4. This means its likely that the platform will see the upcoming TS Project, a large-scale VR experience as an added function to an authentic MMORPG, which will be developed by Unreal Engine 4.
A GameTales official recently stated: “In addition to RPG development using large-scale entertainment company’s IP, Z casual game Z slugger and large project TS project, the next lineup has been set up to TCG battle game using IP.” GameTales plan to showcase both mobile games and Z Slugger in 2017, with TS Project set to release simultaneously on PS4 and mobile platforms.
A release date for these projects is yet to be confirmed, hopefully we receive more information from GameTales on an estimated release window in the near future.
