Following what has been considered one of the most exciting quarterfinals in the history of the Global StarCraft II League, it has been revealed that the next round will get underway on Wednesday, March 15th.
The last round featured the most stacked round of eights to date in GSL, and the hope is that the Semi-Finals will be able to emulate it. On March 15th at 1:30am PST, four-time GSL finalist soO will go one on one with sOs. Following an inspirational previous round with TY, soO will be looking to continue form into the next round, having lost the previous four finals. Meanwhile, on Friday, March 17th at 8:00pm PST, Stats, the Wallytoss will face off against Ryung. StarCraft II veteran Ryung was considered an underdog previously against Maru, but he has since persevered and made his way into the Semis, and has the opportunity to compete for the grand prize.
Fans can tune into the Semi-Finals live in English, Russian, Spanish and Polish, courtesy of AfreecaTV. This is a social media platform which offers to option of broadcasting live from both PC and mobile devices. The platform is number for live streaming in South Korea, having been established back in 2006.
