Grand Theft Auto V is easily one of the best selling games of all time. Seriously, it just continues to sell years after its release. Whether its the story, gameplay, fanbase, or the GTA Online feature that allows it to sell, it does. Also though, it could be that it sold because it came out for multiple platforms, both last gen and current gen. Regardless, it’s a hit. But, there’s a cost…
Mainly, though the game is continually getting updated, two of the platforms, the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, won’t be supported after March 6th. As such, Rockstar has been allowing players to transfer their characters and save data to the PC version of the game, which just so happens to be 50% off this week.
Once March 6th is over, it’ll no longer be possible to do the transfer, so if you don’t do it, and then you get the PC version of the game, you’ll have to start over from scratch. While that’s not a big deal to some, as starting from scratch can be a key part of the gaming experience, it is a hassle to others.
And like we said, there’s a lot to do in GTA V, especially with GTA Online booming. That part of the game is also getting updated, and upgraded, a lot. So if you don’t have that yet, and you’re looking for an excuse to dive in, this promotion may be for you.
The 50% off Grand Theft Auto V ends on the 20th, so if you’re thinking about it…don’t think too much longer.
