The weekend has come and along with it comes the weekend update for the famous MMO survival game developed and published by Daybreak Game Company, H1Z1: King of the Kill. The game has been in Steam Early Access for a while now, and since the initial EA release of the game, it’s been very popular for streaming around the world. From that point on, H1Z1 just became bigger and bigger.
The biggest addition to the game that this weekend patch is bringing are the team games or 2s and 5s(Duos and Fives) that will make the game a bit more reliant on teamwork. Along with that, the update brought a lot of bug fixes and general changes.
For the general changes, one of the first listed is that the players are now able to see an animated icon instead of a plain dot that indicates their position on the map so that everyone can navigate easier. The scope not being displayed properly has been improved along with some random camera jittering. As for the fixes, the developers notice that the game had a few crashes happening in the last build and they decided to fix that so players don’t have to worry about their game randomly closing on them. They also fixed the issue where Airdrop audio wasn’t being played as well as the issue where the end screens wouldn’t display when a winner won with his inventory open.
In this same announcement, they also mentioned the bug fixes that will be coming via the Combat update that is supposed to come out soon. Nearby shots shouldn’t be silent anymore and explosives should apply more damage despite nearby objects. Wooden Arrows will also apply bleeding.
