September certainly looks busy for Halo fans! The release of the legendary sci-fi shooter franchise’s editing suite on PC will be accompanied by the Anvil’s Legacy expansion on Xbox One. Forge allows visionary map-making gamers the chance to put their creative juices to work, building new levels and maps to be shared across Windows PC and Xbox One.
The entire Forge making experience from Halo 5: Guardians will be brought to the PC platform, with mouse and keyboard support, stunning 4K resolution and graphical displays and custom matches up to 16 players. Creators will be able to share and download maps from the Forge community for both PC and Xbox One platforms.
Coming to Xbox One on the same day will be Anvil’s Legacy. The ninth free expansion release will bring an array of new content to the game, including a new content browser that will work across both platforms, essentially bringing both PC and Xbox One players together as they can share and enjoy Forge creations regardless of which platform it was created on.
Anvil’s Legacy will also introduce two new maps – Mercy and Temple. Mercy will provide a new battleground for Arena players, whereas Temple takes Warzone Assault modes to the desert of Sanghelios. On top of all this, the new content will include three new weapons, new weapon and armour skins, Sound Dampener Attachments and much more.
Both Halo 5: Forge on Windows PC and Anvil’s legacy are scheduled to release on September 8th.
