Blizzard loves its esports, and what’s more, they love to hold their events for all to see, whether it be live via streaming services like Twitch, or in areas that people can actually go to and see for themselves. Well, the Hearthstone Championship Tour, which is comprised of three “seasons” of play, is set to host their finals in the all-new Blizzard Arena, which is located in Los Angeles, California.
Blizzard is promising not only a fun event, but one where attendees can not only see the final matches of the season, but get to see the players and developers from Blizzard themselves. And of course, the final four competitors will battle it out to get their spots in the Hearthstone World Championships that take place in 2018, so it’s a significant event all around. Now, if you’re looking to go to this event, Blizzard has info on that as well.
They’re selling two kinds of tickets. One is for the full weekend, and that’ll be $40. The other is for a single day, and that’s only $15. So it’s pretty fair for the grand scale of the event. You can get your tickets now via Universe. As a bonus, everyone who attends will get a “Thrill of Victory” card pack. And if you’re there the whole weekend, you’ll get a special duffle bag.
Now, if you’re wondering how one qualifies to be at this special ending tournament, it’s rather simple. The top four players from the four major regions are brought in, via their wins in the Summer Playoffs that have occurred. Once in, they’ll battle in a group stage, until there is only eight left. Then there will be single elimination matches until the winners are decided. Oh, and the prize pool? It’s $250,000.
