During Blizzcon 2016, Blizzard announced the newest card set for Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. This card set, titled Mean Streets of Gadgetzan, takes a crime family theme. Several new cards were revealed today for the set. These cards are all part of the Grimy Goons family.
First up, we have Trogg Beastrager. This card has a battlecry that gives +1/+1 to a random Beast in your hand. This is very similar to another Hunter card, Forlorn Stalker. That card gives the same stat increase to all deathrattle minions in your hand. This card has much more synergy for a tempo deck, and for only two cost, with a relevant body on the board, it will likely see some major play in any emerging control Hunter decks.
Second, we have Grimestreet Outfitter, a Paladin card that will give +1/+1 to all minions in a player’s hand. This card is incredibly powerful for only being two cost, and is very good for some preemptive tactical plays. This could serve as a really strong replacement for the Paladin Secret, Avenge, which was removed during the Standard cycle.
Third, we have Grimestreet Informant, which strongly resembles a lot of the other cards in this set. It’s essentially a neutral faction minion that will allow players to discover a card from their faction. This will really help to create synergy and blend class cards. This card in particular could set up for some impressive combos, such as Protect The King in a Hunter deck for an Unleash The Hounds replacement.
Finally, we have Stolen Goods. This card will give a Taunt minion in your hand +3/+3. This is huge for Warrior, since a lot of the Grand Tournament cards for this class centered around Taunt.
Mean Streets of Gadgetzan is set to launch before the year ends, and is currently available for pre-purchase. You can also head over to the official site in order to pitch in your vote to the Grimy Goons.
