The latest expansion for Hearthstone has been revealed by Blizzard, introducing Kobolds & Catacombs to the popular card game.
Set for release in December, this new addition sees players exploring Azeroth’s deepest dungeons, where they will collect 135 new cards, as well as indulge in the all-new single-player Dungeon Run mode. This new mode offers an endless and replayable challenge that will be free of charge, with no prebuilt decks being required.
The smash-hit digital card game is looking to bring a number of monstrosities to face off against in a subterranean realm filled with legendary treasures for those who are brave enough to try and tackle it, rewarding a whopping 135 new cards to get your hands on.
A description of the new mode reads:
“Coming with the launch of Kobolds & Catacombs, Dungeon Runs will send Hearthstone players on challenging, high-stakes subterranean adventures inspired by the classic fantasy dungeon crawl. Players start with a novice deck from their class of choice and face a series of progressively stronger foes, randomly selected from a huge pool of unique bosses.”
From defeating bosses, card decks will be boosted, as well as players earning some extremely powerful treasure. So prepare yourself to plunder next month, though beware that losing a single battle will see the end of your Dungeon Run.
Kobolds & Catacombs will arrive this December on iOS, Android, Windows and Mac PCs. So there isn’t much longer for fans to wait for a brand new expansion for the popular digital card experience, that looks to reward players willing to take the risk.
