Blizzard’s MOBA Heroes of the Storm, featuring characters from across their titles, announces this week’s Brawl mode map. The Haunted Mines are back, but they’ve been reworked. Every week, Brawl mode gives players new challenges that shake up gameplay to keep things fresh.
The Mines Reopen
In the Haunted Mines, players play on a map that has two floors. Periodically, the underground mine opens up, containing an undead army underneath. Players will take down the army and collect skulls to spawn Grave Golems. There’s a total of 100 skulls each time the mine activates. A Grave Golem will rise for both teams and push through a lane, but its strength will depend on the number of skulls that team collected.
Updates to The Haunted Mines
A few things are different about the Haunted Mines since they were last in play, and what better way to get acquainted with them than the Heroes Brawl? Grave Golems will now switch lanes each time they are summoned. The neutral Grave Golem will now be at the center of the underground level of the Haunted Mines. The number of mine entrances has also been increased to 4, with mercenary camps placed next to each entrance.
Heroes of the Storm Brawl
In this week’s Heroes Brawl, players will randomly be assigned a role, like assassin, or support, and have 30 seconds to choose one of three heroes to play. Players can earn rewards for completing 3 Heroes Brawl matches. This week, the prize is 1,000 gold and a Haunted Mines portrait. More information about the Brawl can be found in the game’s client, or on the Heroes of the Storm Brawl website.
