Blizzard has finished their scheduled patch on their mobile title, Heroes of the Storm. The patch adds the new hero Zul’jin, another playable character from the Warcraft franchise.
Heroes of the Storm Patch
The main event for this patch is the addition of the axe-throwing troll, Zul’jin. With a natural attack speed boost that activates as he looses health, Zul’jin can also activate his passive to increase damage at the cost of health per attack.
Zul’jin is now available in the shop, as well as his Emberlord Bundle. The bundle is only available for a limited time, until January 17th. The bundle also comes with the new mount, the Amani War Bear. Meanwhile, a number of things are no longer available in the shop, like the Winter Veil bundles, the Cyber Ram, the Special Snowflake, and the Festive Treasure Goblin.
Custom games have a new Tournament Draft Mode that allows players to swap their draft picks at the end of the draft. Tracer’s status bar no longer has a Targeting indicator. The MVP screen is getting a bit more information, showing the MVP’s top three stats from the match.
Blizzard has also added a nice little feature for players trying to enter the Team League queue in teams of two. If the wait time is going to be exceedingly long, the system will notify the players and encourage them to add more teammates to play.
There are also some tweaks to armor and vulnerability, detailed in an earlier forum post. Meanwhile, Arthas, Anub’arak, and Greymane (though only in Worgen form) are getting increased base armor. There are the usual tweaks for balance to heroes all over, so be sure to check their patch notes and see what’s what.
