Blizzard’s MOBA project Heroes of the Storm will receive yet another assassin and yet another World of Warcraft character. The announcement came via a YouTube video that teases Valeera Sanguinar, as well as new skins and new mounts.
Heroes of the Storm Valeera
The Blood Elf rogue will soon be ported into the Hereos of the Storm arena, with stealth/cloaking abilities and deadly twin blades. She will be added to the Nexus in the next major update, along with a few other things teased in the video.
Li-Ming is getting some new digs as Lunar Li-Ming, with themed abilities that look more like solar flares than her typical “magic-colored” attacks. Blizzard is also introducing a Monkey King Samuo, because every MOBA needs a monkey king. Samuo, with wind walk invisibility and mirror images, makes him the easiest target.
Heroes of the Storm will also see some new mounts that seem to coincide with the new skins. There’s a felsaber, much more ferocious than Mischief, the fel kitten. To go with Monkey King Samuo, there will be a nimbus cloud, allowing anyone to float through the battlefield like a god of folklore.
To anyone looking to get me a gift, I recommend the Lunar Rooster, available in red or solid gold, whose glory is most certainly unmatched in all the land. Not only does it seem to match Li-Ming stylistically, but it’s also a great way to celebrate the coming new year.
No dates yet set by Blizzard, but players can expect all these updates to appear in Heroes of the Storm soon.
