Feral Interactive has announced today that Hitman – Game of the Year Edition has released on macOS and Linux. The stealth-action hit was developed by Io-Interactive on PC and consoles, and will be brought to macOS and Linux by Feral.
Players once again assume the role of Agent 47, in an entry that has been praised for its multi-layered levels and hefty amount of freedom that is offered to players. The game takes players to a number of exotic locations, with each mission offering a huge and populated sandbox level to be completed in whichever way the player sees fit.
As for the Game of the Year Edition, this includes a number of key content, including all six locations with Paris, Sapienza, Marrakech, Bangkok, Colorado and Hokkaido. Each is crammed with opportunities to take down the targets you will need to eliminate, by adopting disguises, using improvised weapons and much more.
There is also the Patient Zero mission arc, which features four new missions based on a viral pandemic. Plus, there will be three new Escalation mission packs, including The Raven Pack, The Cowboy, and The Clown Pack with Agent 47’s own suit, mission and a reward to be added.
David Stephen, managing director of Feral Interactive, commented:
“The Patient Zero mission arc and the Escalation mission pack offer HITMAN fans compelling and intriguing new ways to enjoy the game. For players yet to immerse themselves in HITMAN’s unique blend of exploration and execution, the Game of the Year Edition release is the perfect opportunity to kickstart their career in undercover assassination.”
So if you’ve been waiting to experience Hitman: Game of the Year edition, then now is your chance to do so on macOS and Linux.
