NetherRealm Studios is the team behind Mortal Kombat, but a few years back they decided to take a detour into another beloved franchise, DC Comics. Now, they had been down this path before with “Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe”…but it wasn’t that good. Yet, they learned from that game, and Injustice was born. The game was well received, and so, a sequel was born. Now, that sequel has done so well, combined with lots of DLC, that a new special edition is coming for it. Behold, Injustice 2 Legendary Edition.
Now, like most editions that come after about a year of life, Injustice 2 Legendary Edition features not just the main game, but also, all the DLC characters that have been put into the game since launch. This includes: Red Hood, Starfire, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Black Manta, Hellboy, The Atom, Enchantress, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and even the pre-order bonus character…Darkseid. That’s a lot, but that’s not all.
Also included in Injustice 2 Legendary Edition will be some premiere skins for some of the characters, which technically transform characters into other ones. Like turning Raiden into Black Lightning, and Supergirl into Power Girl. Still not enough? Well, the Legendary Edition will bring an expanded Tutorial Mode so you’re better equipped for all that the game offers. Speaking of which, there will be new gear for every character in the game, as well as an increased level cap and a new augment slot.
Finally, if you pre-order the special edition, you’ll get a collectible coin, exclusive Steelcase, 11000 Source Crystals, and Epic Comic Exclusive Download Steel Card.
So…yeah, that’s a lot, and that’s still only scratching the surface of what Injustice 2 offers. This is a game deep with characters to fight as, and a surprisingly deep story. Injustice 2 Legendary Edition comes out on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on March 30th.
