Hitman has been a fan-favorite franchise for a long time. The ability to be an assassin in the modern world has appealed to many gamers, and the game’s freedom and options on how to kill your targets have proved satisfying. With the most recent entry though, the team at IO Interactive decided to do something different. Instead of releasing one massive game like they had done with previous entries like Blood Money and Absolution, they decided to take the episodic/seasonal approach to the game.
Because of that, players receive Hitman content throughout the year. And not just through main missions, but through additional DLC content like contracts and side areas where players could not only entertain themselves but also improve their global rank. Though the first season of the game has been completed, the content is still rolling out, and the May content has been revealed.
In it, there will be 10 new standard contracts, one new Elusive Target, and two Escalation Contracts. For the record, much like all the Elusive Target contracts, you’ll only have a set amount of time to kill the target before they’re gone forever. In this case, you have 11 days to complete the contract.
What also makes this new content interesting is that like last month, all the content will be available at once. In this case, that date is May 5th. This means you can choose to do the content in any order that you wish. Or, if you’re stuck on one, you can come back to it later and do something else in the meantime. That’s the freedom that IO Interactive wanted to give players with this new “all-at-once” content delivery model.
So, we suggest you prepare your best suit and get ready to travel. There’s places to go, people to assassinate, and work to be done. You are a hitman after all.
