A year or so ago the “Communities” app launched on the PlayStation 4, a feature that is designed to bring players together, especially if they like similar games.
Thousands of groups have spawned thanks to Communities, joining millions of players online to share their experiences and adventures, playing online together, reposting their best moments online either as pictures or even videos.
Well, this awesome app is now coming to your mobile phones on iOS and Android. Having Communities on the go allows you to keep in check with your teammates even when you’re not on your gaming platform. The Communities app will work exactly as it did on the PlayStation 4, so you will be able to create, join, and interact with your group no matter where you’re located, which is super useful. You can find yourself new groups based on the games that you play, or that you’ve played before. Or just check out groups that your friends are currently members of and find someone to play with. When you join a group you’re able to ask questions and post comments, so communicating with your buddies is very easy.
You get notified when someone responds to your comments, when they post something, or when someone tags you in their message. Communities also interacts with the existing PlayStation and PlayStation Messages app so you will be completely connected to your gaming community. You can fully understand just how convenient the Communities app is when you’re not at home and your teammates can still notify you when the next gaming session is and that sort of thing.
