2K and Hangar 13 have revealed a new trailer for the upcoming sequel in the Mafia franchise. The sixth and final video introduces players to protagonist Lincoln Clay’s mentors: Father James Ballard and John Donovan. Father James is a the adoptive father figure to Lincoln, whereas CIA handler John served time with the main character back in Vietnam. Both aim to guide Lincoln on exacting his revenge on the Italian Mafia.
Taking place in 1968, Mafia 3 follows the story of Lincoln Clay, a biracial orphan and Vietnam veteran who is on a path of vengeance following a murder attempt by the Italian Mafia on Clay and the Black Mob. With the intent of building his own criminal empire to confront the Italian crime syndicate with, Clay will fight alongside 3 underbosses, including returning Mafia 2 main character Vito Scalleta, followed by Haitan gang leader Cassandra and Thomas Burke from the Irish mob. For those who are new to the series, the action-adventure game is played from a third-person perspective, in which players will able to roam the open world setting of New Bordeaux, a reimagined version of New Orleans.
This is the last Mafia 3 character trailer to be released, with the game set to hit shelves on October 7th 2016 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
