There are many ways to make a video game, and then, when you want to release them, you have many ways of getting them out and distributing them. Kickstarter is one popular avenue for indie developers, as it allows them to get extra funds while also ensuring that there will be a fanbase to play their game when it reaches release. For a new JPRG game called Destiny Chronicles, the journey to fulfillment begins on the crowdfunding service in only a few days.
On October 4th, Destiny Chronicles will launch on Kickstarter, and you’ll have the chance support it and help it reach its funding goal. But what is this JRPG? Well, it’s one that is inspired by the classic JRPGs of yore, and it has a very simple yet elegant plot. You play as a young girl named Celeste, and when a thief strikes at your hometown, you must chase them down and retrieve what they have taken.
Along the way you’ll meet several companions, and those companions will help drive the story forward in many ways. The team behind the game wanted it to feel like a classic story with deep roots, but also, one that will make you smile as the characters interact with one another.
As for combat, Destiny Chronicles takes after Kingdom Hearts, with fast-paced action as well as the ability to customize Celeste and her fighting style to suit what kind of fighter you like to be most. Upgrade her abilities and learn new techniques to make her a true Knight.
It’s a big world out there, and as such, the game will feature not only a major quest, but numerous side quests for you to enjoy. If the funding goal is hit, Destiny Chronicles will be released on PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
