Players on NeoGAF are reporting that a patch for Injustice 2 is deleting their items. This was initially believed to have been affecting just PlayStation 4 players only, though now it appears to be happening to Xbox One players also.
NetherRealm Studios recently introduced patch 1.09, which included the latest DLC character addition Raiden from the Mortal Kombat franchise, which to many is considered controversial in itself, given he’s the second MK character to be added to the roster following Sub-Zero’s previous introduction.
There was a far more pressing issue with Raiden’s introduction, however. After patch 1.09, Raiden was unplayable for many Xbox One users, with member of the game’s community assuming the NetherRealm brought out patch 1.10 to fix this issue. Unfortunately, this now appears to be the source of wiping players’ gear, shaders and so forth from their accounts.
If this has affected you, then you are encouraged to contact NetherRealm Studios and report your losses. If you’re only a casual player and haven’t downloaded these updates, it might be worth hanging tight before doing so, just until it’s safe to do so. We are bound to hear something from the studio soon, so if you have downloaded the update, you should probably check to see if your gear is still there.
Injustice 2 is now available on PS4 and Xbox One.
