It’s a busy time in the realm of League of Legends. Season 8 of the game is about to enter preseason, and as such, there’s a lot of tweaking and fixing going on with the team at Riot Games. So much so that they decided to do one more patch before they went into the preseason. So, Patch 7.21 has been born. Now as Riot Games admits, this patch is a bit on the “small side”, however, the intent is meaningful, as they’re fixing some champions and some other things.
As always, the Riot Games team want all the champions in League of Legends to be as balanced as possible. Which means constantly looking at how things are and seeing if they need to be fixed. For example, Champion Azir has been pretty good as of late, but some new moves have made him a bit more powerful. Thus, his Conquering Sands and Arise! moves have gotten some nerfs during the later stages of the game.
On the flip side, to make Ekko a little more effective, they’ve doubled the damage of his Z-Drive Resonance against monsters. Same goes for Evelynn, who has had her Whiplash ability improved to ensure damage no matter what.
A big change though is the massive being known as Galio. The team thinks they could use a strategy change, so, they’ve altered several of his abilities so that people can use him more “aggressively”, and show off what he can do. He is going to be a little more susceptible to damage, but the tradeoff is that you can use him in new situations that you wouldn’t have wanted to before.
Another big change is with items. The biggest one being Ardent Censer. This item has been used by a LOT of players due to its power, so thus, they’ve nerfed it a little. Making it weaker in the early stages.
