Then it shouldn’t come as a surprise that huge companies would want to partner up with Riot Games because investing money in League of Legends can’t backfire, as the game will still be relevant even in the next 5 years. T-Mobile is the next company that partnered up with Riot Games as a North American sponsor of the 2017 League of Legends World Championship.
As all of you probably know by now, Worlds is one of the most, if not the most viewed esports event in the world, which is not surprising considering how much the League of Legends esports scene has become popular. In Worlds, the best of the best battle each other on Summoner’s Rift, and the one that emerges victorious wins a grand prize and claims the title of World Champion.
So, how does T-Mobile tie into all of this? You see, they will be the presenting sponsor of a brand new segment which is going to be shown in the Worlds 2017 broadcast, and it’s called “The Best of the Rift”. As you can probably tell from the name of this segment, it is going to show the best performances of the tournament. Basically, The Best of the Rift segment is going to spotlight the players that had the best plays. If you miss an amazing outplay/play in a match, you can be sure that you’re going to be able to see it again when The Best of the Rift segment comes.
