There has been quite some drama kicking off over on Twitter between League of Legends teams Fnatic and Team SoloMid. TSM founder Andy Dinh tweeted that Fnatic had gotten into the TSM teamspeak whilst discussing picks, stating the following:
“Fnatic joins our TeamSpeak while we were scrimming to troll. We were playing against GAM. Extremely unprofessional.”
Dinh, who has since deleted the tweets to avoid further drama, continued:
“Probably not malicious but it was during championselect while we were talking about picks.”
This may seem confusing to some, especially since you’d think that their channel was password protected. On the subject of this, Dinh revealed that they were waiting for it to be password protected since they didn’t have admin access themselves.
This unprofessional behavior has been addressed by Fnatic, who responded:
“To clarify on this. There was a problem with the internal RIOT TS server where we auto joined the TSM lobby. Our players thought this was the general lobby as there were many users other than the obvious TSM players in the lobby and therefore started talking / joking around.”
Fnatic also stated that they have since spoken to Team SoloMid and worked things out. Hopefully this kind of behavior won’t be a common occurrence on Fnatic’s behalf. As mentioned previously, the tweets have since been removed by Dinh, though you can catch the majority of the transcript somewhat here.
