It’s been a big week for gaming recently, as Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is set to release soon, and Horizon Zero Dawn just arrived. In the case of the latter, many are already calling it a wonderful game with surprising depth and brilliant gameplay. Not surprisingly, Sony, the game’s exclusive platform, is trying to tie in as many things as it can to it to increase sales, and this includes giving skins of its characters to LittleBigPlanet 3.
LittleBigPlanet, from British video game developer Media Molecule, gives the players control over characters called Sackboy and Sackgirl, as well as other unique characters, as they traverse through very detailed levels. The twist is that players can make their own levels, even breaking genre within the game to make the experience even more unique.
The costumes from Horizon that are in LittleBigPlanet 3 include OddSock in a Grazer Costume, Swoop in a Stormbird Costume, and Sackboy and Sackgirl starring as Aloy and Rost, the main characters of the game.
Despite having been released in 2014, LittleBigPlanet 3 still has a very strong community. In fact, players are still making levels for the title. The PlayStation Blog hosted a recent showcase of player creations, proving just how creative the fanbase can be. As they note in the picture above, over 10 million levels have been created. Many of these aren’t standard levels, but are mini-games and other standalone things that show why LittleBigPlanet has endured for over a decade.
The LittleBigPlanet franchise has had many skins of many characters come and go over the years, including Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, Kratos from God of War, and many, many more. Head to the game to celebrate the recent release of Horizon Zero Dawn. And be sure to tell us if you have been a part of the 10 million levels that have been created in the game.
