Project Genom is a sci-fi MMORPG that has an open world, non-target combat, and an interesting character progression system. It has a lot of negative reviews on Steam, but it’s still in Early Access, so there’s time to improve. Today we are taking a look at it’s Weekly Newsletter. We will be looking at the development of the quest system, the dialogue system, and more.
The game developers are working really hard to complete the game’s quest system, and they’re almost there. As you can imagine, a quest system is important to any game, especially a MMORPG, so after the quest system gets done then the developers can put all of their focus into developing Project Genom’s final content. The quests were re-written, now they should make more sense and they should also be more interesting, as now they’re non-linear. The entire storyline got improved to be more interesting. The dialogue system is also finished, and a lot of work has been put into buggy mobs, especially the AI of the Trog mobs. A lot of work has also been done on The Ghunars Ancient Complex, but there are still decor elements that will get added sometime later.
The Wild Avalon area is being expanded with new hollows, some passages, and a wide swamp. This should be enough to widen this particular area and add some complexity to the landscape. The deserted area is also complete. As far as the other development updates go, a lot of work is being put into the improvement of the Mech animations. The Mechs are high-level content in Project Genom, so naturally, they want to increase their quality levels.
