When it comes to MMORPGs like World of Warcraft, playtime is a question that all players must ask themselves every day, because most gamers can agree that MMORPGs are a commitment. Unlike RPGs, or shooters, or various other genres, you really just can’t just, “pick up and put down,” whenever you want. You can of course, but then you’re missing much of the experience. There are things in an MMORPG that only happen at specific times like special events, Raids, contests, and so on. So the question must be asked, “How Many Hours A Day Do World of Warcraft Players Play?”
We aren’t the only one asking this question. Battle.net user Olrox asked this very same question to his fellow players, and the answers he got were as various, and hilarious, as you might expect.
For some, they joked about how the game “is their life,” and thus their hours cannot be calculated. For others, it’s a question of what’s going on in World of Warcraft at the time, as well as the life they live.
“Maybe 4 hours on raid days. Maybe 1-2 hours a day otherwise. Maybe a bit more on weekends,” said play Snoizer.
One player stated she plays 12 hours a day because she has 14 characters at level 110. More jokes include “Way too much,” and “please send help!” Others, though, just go into the game for a little bit, occasionally:
“Else i play from 18:00 to 00:00, doing random stuff ingame (not that much focus at end game, like raids or rated BG / arena)…just, farming stuff, like transmorg, pets, mounts, toys, weap ench, you name it,” noted player Assassia.
So in truth, the answer to the question is that it just depends on the player, and how much time they’re willing to spend playing it. How long do you play in a day in World of Warcraft? Let us know in the comments below.
