Without a doubt, the Mass Effect Trilogy was one of the most important RPG franchises of the last couple generations. The game, developed by Bioware, showed us a fascinating sci-fi world where humanity was among the stars with other races, and yet, an impending doom was threatening to wipe everything out. You took the role as Commander Shepherd, and with the help of various allies fought back the Reaper threat to save the day. Now, on Origin, some special bundles have arrived for the latter two titles in that trilogy.
First up, the Mass Effect 2 bundle includes all the major DLC from the game story-wise, and pack wise. You’ll get the “Kasumi – Stolen Memory” DLC where you’ll get to add another member to your team. The “Lair Of The Shadow Broker” where you’ll help Liara T’Soni finish her quest for revenge, as well as the Overlord and Arrival DLC. Plus, you’ll get packs of weapons, armor, you’ll get the digital soundtrack for the game, a digital comic and more.
As for the Mass Effect 3 bundle, you’ll get the From Ashes, Leviathan, Citadel, and Omega story DLC, as well as the “Extended Cut” endings that Bioware added after the backlash to the original ending. Add to that, you’ll get five multiplayer packs that’ll give you new battlefields and weapons to use. Also included is special art, soundtracks, comics, and more.
They are a bit expensive despite being out for years now, but if you’ve never gotten the chance to play them, they might just be worth the look back.
The Mass Effect series in a bit of a quagmire right now after the release of Andromeda. We honestly don’t know if the series will come back, and even if it does, they’ll have to truly knock it out of the park to ensure another Andromeda isn’t made.
