First of all, let’s take a moment to appreciate how much effort the developers at Bioware are putting into making Andromeda a game that combines both the elements from old Mass Effect games as well as new ones. And on top of it all, it looks amazing. We can safely say that Mass Effect: Andromeda won’t disappoint, especially when you watch the latest video that showcases the game’s combat, the weapons, the abilities, and the enemies. Everything looks superb, which makes us even more eager to play the game as soon as it launches.
The combat has never looked better in a Mass Effect game. Everything, from the movement to the shooting, is slick and polished. The jetpack on the character’s back allows them to quickly maneuver on the battlefield by using dashes and jumps. It’s even possible to shoot enemies while hovering. It doesn’t get cooler than that. We get to see four types of weapons: pistols, sniper riles, shotguns, and assault rifles. You also have different gadgets which allow you to use a rifle with either bullets or lasers. There are also plenty of melee weapon to choose from for those who prefer close-range combat.
Next, the video showcases the abilities that characters can use. From things like blinking, deploying hovering turrets, and creating vacuums that suck enemies in and make them float mid-air, there are many abilities that you can unlock and upgrade to find the playstyle that suits you the most. Character customization that provides multiple playstyles is very important to Bioware, so they are doing their best to give you as many options when it comes to combat as possible.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is the latest entry in the acclaimed sci-fi shooter Mass Effect franchise. It is set to release on March 21 for Windows PC, XBox One, and PlayStation 4.
