Mortal Kombat XL was released months ago for Xbox One and Playstation 4 along with the Kombat Pack 2. Mortal Kombat XL contains all of the DLCs, including the most recent DLC characters(The Xenomorph Alien from Alien, Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Bo Rai Cho, and TriBorg).
Now there are reports of NetherRealm Studios, the games developer, holding an enhanced online beta for the steam version of the game. The purpose of this seems to be the improvement of online functionality being as one of the major complaints for the PC and Steam versions of MKX was this, making PC gamers feel like the PC version was inferior to the console versions. It would seem like NetherRealm is trying to correct this issue as well as fix the lag that most PC users were experiencing in the original version of MKX.
It hasn’t been officially confirmed that this Pack and version of MKX will be coming to PC but all the evidence is pointing in that direction given all the effort they seem to be putting into fixing and leveling the PC version of the game, it wouldn’t make sense not to include all the content that MKX has to offer. However, it seems like fans will just have to wait and see.
The beta is live on August 29th, at 10 a.m.
