When it comes to video games and their developers, you almost always know the teams that are behind your favorite games (Bungie, Naught Dog, Intelligent Systems, etc.), but sometimes you know that specific people are what truly make the game shine, and those superstars of the industry are known the world around. When it comes to Final Fantasy, there are a few names that stick out above the others, one of which is Naoki Yoshida, the man who helped make Final Fantasy XIV a hit.
When the game first launched, it didn’t go well, so Yoshida was brought in, mainly because of his wealth of MMORPG experience both as a developer, but also as a gamer. With that, he helped usher in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, and the rest is history.
But, some players are wanting him to get even more involved in the game. More specifically, with the offline portions of the game, aka the singleplayer portions of the game. But would he even be up for this? Well, he says he would be if the fans ask for it, and Square-Enix lets him:
So there you go, right from the man himself. And fans are already weighing in on what it could mean if this does happen. To be clear, he’s not a writer, he’s a director, so all he would do is help guide the offline sections of the game so that they’re better than what they are, or, just make the offline sections more lively.
Given his natural charisma and love of the game, it’s not a stretch to think he would do well. He’s a man that likes to set goals, then achieve them. Would you like to see Naoki Yoshida help grow the offline sections of Final Fantasy XIV? Let us know in the comments below.
