Do you like free content? Of course you do, everyone likes free content, and Neverwinter players can now look forward to a new endgame Skirmish, an overhaul of the PvP system, and some quality of life changes with the new release called Swords of Chult. This release is coming next month, but to be more specific, on October 24. For a MMORPG as old as Neverwinter, it’s always great to see that the developers are still working hard to keep the game updated with new content.
Ever since the launch of the Tomb of Annihilation, the game has received quite a lot of patches to fix all the issues that came with that release, and it seems like most of them are fixed, as Cryptic Studios have now focused their attention on new content. Now, what is Swords of Chult all about exactly. Well, first let’s talk about the new endgame Skirmish. It’s called “The Merchant Prince’s Folly” and it’s all about defeating a bunch of dangerous monsters. See, the dangers that lurk deep within the jungles of Chult have found their way to the walled city of Port Nyanzaru, and you brave heroes are the only thing standing between all the dinosaurs, yuan-ti, the undead, and bands of batiri goblin and the innocent citizens.
That’s everything there is to say about the new Skirmish, so now let’s talk about the upcoming PvP changes. Many things will be tweaked and adjusted (stats and PvP gearing for example) to increase the enjoyability of the PvP experience in Neverwinter. But, other changes are also coming to the game, and you can expect more focus on the refinement system, dungeon queuing, and campaign progression for alts. This way both veterans and new Neverwinter players can enjoy all aspects of the game!
